Healesville Sanctuary

Healesville Sanctuary is one of Austraila’s most popular wildlife sanctuaries and one of our favorites. It really is a ‘must visit’ attraction if you are planning a holiday in Victoria.

There are 200 species of Australian wildlife on display and if you enjoy photographing animals up close, you will love Healesville Sanctuary!

Stroll through the meandering paths (it’s around 3km walk) and soak in the natural beauty and magnificent design of these unique creatures.

Coombe Farm

Once the home of world famous opera singer Dame Nellie Melba, Coombe Yarra Valley is a unique gourmet and cultural destination. Situated among seven acres of stunning gardens, visitors are treated to a world-class dining experience featuring award-winning Coombe Farm wines, against a historic, picturesque backdrop.

Tarrawarra Museum of Art

TarraWarra Museum of Art is described as a ‘privately funded, public art museum’. The TWMA collection was formed by Eva and Marc Besen who donated artworks from their own private collection to the Australian public. When TWMA opened in the Yarra Valley in December 2003, Mr and Mrs Besen had donated a total of 142 artworks to form the beginnings of the collection.

Yarra Valley Chocolaterie

Set on sixteen hectares, Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery combines striking architecture with a unique food experience amidst picturesque valley views. Upon entry (which is completely free) you are met with an abundance of free chocolate tastings, thousands of premium chocolates on display and large viewing windows where you can see European chocolatiers at work hand-crafting their scrumptious creations.

Puffing Billy

Almost every Melburnian has a special memory on board Puffing Billy, chugging through the forest, rolling hills and open farmland with legs hanging over the side. After a short temporary suspension of this much-loved activity, Puffing Billy Railway is thrilled to bring back the time-honoured tradition of passengers sitting on the carriage sills!
